Biographies of deputies of Ministry of Mines and Petroleum

1-Engineer Naseer Ahmad Durrani, deputy operation and manager of solid mines:

Son of Shaheed Haji Shah Mohammad, Engineer Naseer Ahmad Durrani, belongs to Pul-i-Kandahari village of the Mohammad Agah district of central Logar province.

He completed his primary and secondary education in 1967 in his hometown and then proceeded to Kabul Technical Institute where he completed his 12th class in 1970.

Durrani obtained engineering degree from Kabul University in 1975 and went to the US in 1988 where he studied his field for another one year in the Nebraska University.

He served in various capacities in the Ministry on Mines and Petroleum from 1970 to 1983.

During 1985, he worked as technical advisor with VITA for eight years and later became the administrative head in the Ministry of Public Works in 1993.

He worked in a Steel Mills Company in Peshawar for eight years and then worked with other energy sectors companies of the United Kingdom and France.

He is deputy operation manager of solid mines in the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum.

2-Engineer Abdul Jameel Haris, deputy admin/finance:

Engineer Abdul Jameel Haris is the son of Jamaluddin. He hails from Faizabad City, the provincial capital of northeastern Badakhshan province. He was born in 1975.

He completed his 12th class education from Habibiah High School in 1992 and graduated from engineering at Kabul University in 1999.

Haris continued his study in the field of business and economics and received his master degree from a US university in the US.

He worked in different NGOs such as ERAA, Care International, UNDP and SRDMO in different positions. Currently, he is working as deputy finance with Ministry of Mines and Petroleum since 2013.
